For the best results with ported heads you should consider going to a bigger cam, to get the full benefit of ported heads & headers. I would also consider going to a higher stalling converter if they are available for the new A6 tranny.

AFR 205's or Edlebrock 215s' both are great flowing with high velocity runners. Also, bolt on a set of LG headers and for some added kick, our A&A AX3 cam.

I bet you would be better off with a set of gears. I think the A4's come with lame 2:73 rears. You want something like 3:73. This will give you the speed and SOP of about another 50hp vs having to touch your motor, and you won't void your warranty. If you are street driving/drag racing, this is the best bang for the buck.

GM Performance Parts CNC ported heads. Order from GM dealer. I can get them for about $2,100 and they use factory castings so if anybody looks close the casting # stays the same. If you want to go aftermarket you can order heads/cam/headers from SLP. If you do heads only and headers you will gain about 50 H/P, but with cam also you could be closer to 75-85 or more.

forget the heads if you're not gonna put a cam, torque convertor, gears, intake manifold,TB,etc.etc.The complete exhaust system with the "X" pipe will make your car more fun to drive than all the rest of those mods
