I installed a Vararam and now when I am causing a a steady speed (car will not go any faster with the current amount of gas i am giving it) it starts to buck! Just enough to let the slack out of the drive-train. I unplugged the battery for a whole day and plugged it back in and it still does it.. I wish it would throw a code or something! I am getting to the point where I hesitate driving it because of the damn bucking!
I felt mild rpm drops, or bucking, recently when the cruise was set but chaulked it up to being a windy day. But I have noticed it on occasions recently. My mustang friends would get a kick out this "bucking" question..........
Never heard of such a thing after a Vararam install. I would first check for air leaks after the MAF. Check all the connections to the MAF too. I did not have any problems with my install last year.

Sorry I couldnt be much help.
.you either have a air leak after the maf, loose connection after the maf.also a oiled up maf element will do it.what kind of air filter are you using? if the air fiter isn't over oiled, look for a air leak

Ahh a shimmer of hope!
I will get right on it, I checked for leaks a number of times with WD-40, and all seemed well.
Fingers crossed for oiled up MAF sensors! I will buff the oil off of them with a dremel...
if u disconnected the batt and installed the vararam u might have to take the ole 50mi nonstop cruz to allow the puter to see and learn the new air system and it will reset.

Woo Hoo I found the leak! after what seems like a whole can of WD-40 its on the Crimped clamp, it seems as if it was stuck and the wd-40 un stuck it and i realized that i could spin it around like nothing! its is leaking from the bottom of it. Now do I just get a regular big hose clamp or is there a way to tighten that thing up?
I spoke too soon.. I noticed a little bit of bucking today on the highway. I re checked everything and everything looks to be tight and i cleaned the MAF sensor.. I unplugged the battery and then took it on a 16 mile drive to try and reset it. Is that no enought miles? What is my next step to check in chasing down this glitch?

What the.......?
Are you saying I have to disconnect my battery because I installed a ram air intake? Or, will the computer figure it out after a while.
