Retuning with Hypertech
Does anyone have suggestions as far as resetting the shift points and or firmness on a A4 98 coupe, and Yes only the stock 2:73'S For now, what actually are the factory settings, and what can I safely change them too without adding too much temp rise to the tranny(I understand that Heat is an autos worst enemy), also Fan on /off temps, and any other tips that can be performed on the Hypertech tuner.

I set the shift points like 1 notch lower than the max to be safe for the reasons you state. Forget what I set fan temps for , probably just took a guess.........

Fellow C5er used to fool around with hypertech. On back to back pulls he only gained 2 hp so i didn't see the point of paying 400 for it.
As for firmness.. You can set it on the firmest. It's not going to break the tranny.
