Skip shift = PCM code?
I've had a skip-shift eliminatror in for the past 4 years, no problems. Over the last week (ever since my car last came out of the dealer) i've been getting the little engine light on the dash. When i checked the codes, i had a PCM1038 which indicates a problem with the skip-shift.
Has anyone else had this probelem? and

Your eliminator has a 2200 ohm resistor that the computer reads and thinks the CAGS solenoid is there. I'd guess that either the connector between the harness and the eliminator is loose, or maybe the resistor has failed. You could check the resistance in the eliminator with an ohm meter and see if that's the problem.
