Default Clutch problem??

I have been driving my car for a week now about 500 miles after my motor swap. I have an exedy twin disc clutch that has ~5k miles on it. The past couple days i have been having issues with shifting. I can push in the clutch and if i dont rev match the car wont shift, just grind. But if i am sitting still i can go into any gear like normal. I just pulled the inspection cover and all the pp bolts are tight and i dont see any fluid seeping anywere from the slave. The clutch started to engage funny from a stop also like it was not as grabby as usuall. It doesnt slip or anything while driving. Any ideas im lost ! And am suposed to drive 4 hours on monday to go get my car tuned !!!

Do you think perhaps the actual shifter itself isnt in properly? Try to readjust the shifter base by moving it fwd or backward a bit, then retighten- I had a similar problem.
or:
Did you shim your slave cylinder when you installed it? Did you bleed teh clutch? Just a few things to think about

I didnt touch the slave cylinder. I pulled the motor through the top. I am pretty sure it has nothing to do with the shifter as i havent touched that and it would have nothing to do with the engagement of the clucth. I am just trying to get some feedback as to if i should try to replace the master cylinder or if it seems like its the slave.
