Default ZO6 Chrome wheels tire sizes??????

I have recently purchased ZO6 Chrome wheels for a 98 C5. After further inspection I have noticed that the Rim is wider than the tire and a small bit of the rim extends wider out. I have an H/C installment due soon and need to verify the correct tire size for the aftermarket ZO6 Wheels.

Can anyone verify if these tires are adequate and are the tires size correct for the front & rear wheels?

A. Falken FK-451 (Front 275/40/17 ZR) $123.00
(Rear 285/35/18 ZR) $179.00

B. Sumitomo HTRZ II (Front 275/40/17 ZR) $99.00
(Rear 285/35/18 ZR) $123.00

If anyone has pictures of these tires on your vette, that would be even better for me to view!

Thanks for your help in advance.

The correct size is 265/40zr17 front and 295/35zr18 for the front. If you have access I would take a look at the TOYO Proxes T1-S..new design and look great on the Vette

The sizes you listed should work fine. They are not stock sizes but you speedo error will be around 1-2 mph and your rears are slightly taller diameter than the front, so your AH should be ok.

I have the Falken tires on my C5, but on stock C5 sized wheels for now. They are a decent tire with good warm weather traction. The only downside to them are the sidewalls aren't as hard as that of some other tires. You will be able to tell this when trying to make an emergency lane change on the highway.

While we are on the subject, will there be any negative sides to putting stock C5 sized tires on Z06 sized wheels? I want to upgrade to Z06 sized wheels, but my tires are only about 6-8 months old.

Just a comment on the Sumitomo's. I bought a set when I had my C4 and ended up having to send two of them back because they wouldn't balance. I had to do a road force balance to find the problem. I should have done a third one but I ended up selling the car anyway. In my view, they are cheap for a reason.

There is probably many who have had no problems. That being said, Tire Rack was great to deal with on the replacements. No problems.

Just my .02.

Here is the site! I really wanted these tires but I am cautioned now! I might go with falkens instead! I am going to need bite under 40MPH when I floor the pedal every once in a while. I though about drag radials but it's not practical for the money for the conservative driving I do!

I have the Toyos on mine also and they are 295/35 18 on the rear. Maybe the shop just didn't have any. I like them a lot.
