Engine Noises
When I start my car in the morning cold, I have 2 different noises.
One is a slapping or loud clicking sound coming from in front of the engine. I'm wondering if it might be either the alternator, the compressor or the belt. Any answers?
The second is something that sounds like either piston slap or a lifter noise. This noise goes away after warm-up.
I have a 2002 corvette coupe. It has 15,000 miles on it. I love my car. I've got it just the way I want it but it makes noises when I first start it cold, and it embarrasses me when I start it in front of friends.
