The DIC on my 2000 Coupe has flipped out a couple of times on me, and I thought I'd see if anyone here has had similar experiences.
A few weeks ago, during a long highway drive, the LOW FUEL indicator came on, when there should have been roughly a half tank of gas. In the middle of nowhere on I-70, I was a tad worried. An exit (with fuel no less) was very close. 10 gallons later, I was back on the road and the problem never resurfaced. Until ...
Last weekend, I went to move the car. The DIC reported lots of fun stuff like REDUCED ENGINE POWER, SHOCKS INOPERATIVE, LOW FUEL, and others. I
wound up pulling the battery cable to get things reset.
Thursday, I got in and received SERVICE ABS, SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL, and SERVICE ACTIVE HANDLING. I shut the car down for 30 seconds or so, then restarted. No problems.
The car is in the shop, but they couldn't find anything.
Anyone here have some ideas? Thanks.

PS Wasn't sure if this should go under Tech or General, so if I've screwed up, just lemme know.
Not sure if anyone still looks at this thread or not, but Chevy thinks they've resolved this problem. Their theory is that the ignition switch was intermittently failing to interact with the various computer systems, causing the various warnings to appear on the DIC. So, they replaced the ignition switch.
Good luck with the fix. If it doesn't pan out, have them check for a ground problem. One of several major ground points may not be tight or not making good contact.
Boerio,
I got the same codes you did when I started the car back up about an hour after a couple hard runs against a Mustang GT:smash: and hitting the rev limiter twice. I shut it off and restarted it and everything was fine. I reset all of the codes and will wait to see if they re-appear. I wouldn't sweat it too much unless they keep re-appearing...
