Default another catch can question ?????

I am installing an amw can on my 03 coupe. The problem i am having is pcv filter is in a molded hose. It also has a ground strap from it to the intake. Should i cut the hose and just remove the strap? Do you cut the hose before or after the pcv?
Thanks for your help and input !!!!!

I cut the plastic piping about one inch from the end that goes into the valley cover. This gives you someting to attach the new hoses to as that of the PVC is "female" and does not normally accept the new hose. Basically, that small piece of the plastic pipe acts as a bridge. So to hook it up you have a hose coming from the valley cover, connecting to the PVC, then another hose connected from the PVC to the catch can. Of course you also have to install the other hose from the catch can to behind the throttle body on the intake
