Default LS6 intake needed for LS6 head swap???

I'm thinking about getting a set of stock LS6 heads and put them on my LS1 block. I read an article in Corvette Fever that says you must use the LS6 intake cause the ports are different. Anyone care to shed some light on this?

No you don't need to install the LS6 intake but if your doing heads you should go with it.

I am going to dyno my setup (with LS6 heads) first with the LS1 intake. I know what comparable cars are dynoing with an LS6 intake so I will be able to see whether it is worth anything first before I go with it. Numbers should be available Tuesday...

People usually pick up 8-10rwhp with an LS6 intake swap on stock heads. I imagine it will be much higher with ported heads.
