Default Keep getting codes u1160

I keep on getting dic codes u1160(left door control mod) and another code for the right door control mod.

I have changed these door modules out already (both driver and pas doors)

Any idea what else might be wrong here?

Did you try checking the grounds? It wouldn't be the first time. Connectors sometime get slight corrosion and can cause the code to be thrown.

I got the code last week and once or twice before......just cleared it and all is good.

I'm not worried unless it means the door is about to fall off.....

Since this code is pretty much meaningless did you have some other symptom that drove you to change the modules? The U codes are indicators that show when one module fails to communicate with another. In the case of the U1160 the Instrument Panel Cluster sent a State of Health inquiry to the Left door control module and an answer was not received. If the answer isn't received within 5 seconds the code is set and remains in place even though the next time the SOH signal is sent the door module responds properly.

I have found clearing History codes elimates check engine, service vehicle DID messages.

Had a bad battery recently, installed new. I did not clear the codes after installing the new battery.

After the install of the new battery, charge system fault kept popping up out of the blue. Found nothing wrong with the alternator or battery, or grounds.

After clearing the History codes, no new DIC messages.

Not scientific, but clearing History codes has resulted in no DIC messages for a couple of weeks.
