Default Home-Made Smooth Coupling ?

Has anybody done this for an 00 Vette ? It seems feasible although either end of the coupling would need to be of a different size (T-body & Air Bridge) Sponsors already have plenty of my cash.....Would the New Era Bellow Kit work ? It allows Blackwings to fit '01 + Cars.
Not certain of that size discrepency but its only $14.

after looking into this myself a few years ago, this was the under-lying problem:

"either end of the coupling would need to be of a different size "

It's common for ricers to use silicone couplers intended for the plumbing industry... but almost all of them are uniformed sized; and the C5 requires a different size at each end.

I had given up on my search for the cheap-bastich silicone coupler. Maybe I should start looking again...

Default coupler

For those of you wanting a smooth coupler and have not yet bought an intake, get the Hall-tech. It comes with a smooth coupler and a larger air bridge to boot. If you are looking for a coupler with different sizes on each end, go to a plumbing supply house and look at the various sizes of couplers for cast iron and ABS pipe They come in reducing sizes and one might fit you needs.

Yea the t-body side is 4 inches wide on the inside and it opens up to 5.5 inches at the opposite end. I'll see what home depo has.

Just pulling it out and looking at it on the inside reveals how incredibly restrictive it really is.

they had one that went from 4" to 6"... but it was a little to big on the one end. Again, that was a few years ago and maybe the size selection has improved since then

Bringing this back from the dead. Anyone find something? What are the exact sizes of each end. The local plumbing supply house claims they can get me any size "reducer".
