Optima Red Top (:hat) Battery
Hello everyone,
I haven't posted in a while due to becoming a "Father"! My son Nicholas Paul was born at 7:18 p.m. on July 27th, 2001. Nicholas is doing great and so is his mother, Brenda.
Know for the reason I am submitting a new topic. I recently went shopping at Costco here in Michigan. Costco now stocks the Opima red top battery for $99.00. I hope this saves you some money. I know it did for me I bought the Optra battery and a box of huggies all for the price this battery usually sells for (i.e., $120.00 - $130.00).

Nice price.
I feel very safe having the "prone to leak," Delco out of my Z06.
Besides the Red Top Optima matchs my fuel rail covers. :cool:

Congrats on the newborn! But, honestly guys, what is all the fuss about these redtop batteries? I know it might sound like a dumb question, but I would like know the advantages of them. And, btw, what's the difference between the yellow top and red top? :confused:

Redtop has a 7 year warranty! At least mine does...it says right on the battery. I got my from Interstate Battery. I paid $130 for it about 1.5 years ago.

The red top battery is Gel filled too and can be mounted up side down if you wish!! :yesnod: I am going to have to go out and buy 2 new batterys for my rig...the OEM batterys went dead today while sitting too long...:U I will go to Costco and pick them up tomorrow if I have time. Thanks for the tip. :blueangel:
