Default Air Intake Advice

I am planning to install a new air intake ( Blackwing ). I want to disconnect the battery so the computer will relearn the air flow. Which terminal on the ba. should I disconnect and for how long will be sufficiant?

Thanks so much!

Rob

Either terminal is fine, it is always safer to disconnect the negative post as you are not likely to short out the battery with your wrench.

I just installled a twin cone intake system and did not find it necessary to do the re-learn.

I have a twin cone setup that I have been thinking about using also. I am planning to relocate my MAF behind the air bridge by the throttle body. I want the MAF to be as far away as possible from turbulant air. I have had pinging problems in the past with the BWing. My fog light housings are cut wide open and alot of air is rushing in the engine compartment I'm sure. I was forced to put the stock box back on with a Z lid and K&N. This stopped the knocking. The twin intake will get mega fresh air from the fog lt. openings, but I wonder if it will be too much for the MAF to handle without erratic info to the computer.
