Tranny Shifting/Slipping
A good friend of mine has 2000 coupe with an automatic trans and he notices it slips from second to third and third to fourth occassionally. Usually does it after the fluid get up to temp, but the problem is not consistently occurring. He took it to the stealership and they hooked it up to the computer and it didn't show anything. They then test drove for a while and it didn't slip? Any suggestions?

The only thing I can tell you, is that it sounds like it's life is about over.
He needs to check the fluid to make sure that it is full and to see if the fluid is burnt. (Dark brown or black)
Depending on the miles it wouldn't hurt to service it new filter and fluid.

,your buddies trans is in death mode
Yep, the tranny is dead!!
But tell him not to be sad because once he get a tranny from Rodney RPM transmissions he will be happy that the stock one died! He should get one with a higher stall. I have the RPM level 5 tranny with a 2800 TC and I'm beating the crap out of it all the time with around 450 RWHP, and it holds really really well!!
