No speed limiter, this is a question best asked in General or Tech though.

What Gear are you trying this in....I believe you need to be in 5th not 6th gear to achieve top speed......

If there was a limiter, your motor would cut out every time you reached the top speed. You would know it.

i was afraid to push the rpm's to high. i thought the 6th gear was where you got the top end speed. i was approaching nearly 6000rpm and only hit 153mph kinda scary and confusing

just making sure, are you using a stock rear end? Bigger rear end = slower top speed. Just like in human beings

Man 6000rpm in 6th gear? Either you have a nasty rearend or your clutch is in need of repair. Wow I don't think I have ever heard of 6000 rpm in 6th gear something is weird. It will be interesting to see what the other's have to say.

5th gear is the top speed gear like was mentioned.... and please be careful. (ie. no traffic)

should be able to hit 165+ in a stock Z06, let alone one w/ mods.....

Or even the C5 tech, but the C6 section (where it currently is) isn't the right one

According to my calculations if you were in 6th gear @6000 rpm's in a Z06 your speed should be 235 mph, in 5th you would be going 156. Are you sure you were in 6th gear? The HP required to go 6000 rpm's in 6th would be tremendous.
