e brake problem

remove the rear rotors and adjust the internal shoes so the rotors just barely can slide over the shoes.

Make sure that the self adjuster in the handle is operating correctly. The extreme tunnel heat causes the self adjuster (parking brake handle) grease to solidify causing the adjuster to be inoperative and a very long parking brake handle travel will be realized. The parking brake shoe to drum clearance must be checked but 75% of the time the self adjuster is the cuprit. Do your parking brake drum to shoe clearance first as this is easier. If that doesn't correct the situation. remove passenger seat and right side tunnel carpeting. Remove parking brake handle assy from tunnel and work penetrating lubricant into mechanism until self-adjuster works.
