low oil pressure

i just changed the heads and cam in my 99 c5. i put it back together and no have no oil pressure any advice is it the oil pump or oil sending unit. need help

calm down.ok,did you remember to put the o-ring back on to the oil pick up tube? if so,are you sure you didn't cut it? are you using hydraulic lifters or solids?

i never took the o ring off of the oil pump and i have hydr. lifters

are you sure the o-ring is there?it could be missing or cut.this will make the pump suck air.

If the sending unit is bad it will usually read 80psi on the gauge and 128 on the DIC. It will read this with the key in on and the engine off.

Did you remove the oil pump during the h/c install? How long did you let it run? Did you disconnect the oil sending unit during the install? Did you change the oil during the h/c swap and forget to fill it?
