Default Help: Cranking Problems

I have a 98 vert. I try to start the car one day and the eng would turn over but would'nt start. I got a p0336 Crankshaft Position Sensor code. I replaced it and the car did ok for 1 day. Now the check eng light will come on with no codes and the car will probably start 1 time out of 6 trys. The eng will spin over but car won't start. I hate going some where and have to sit in the parking lot for about 1-3 minutes trying to get my car to start. Need Help. TKS JOHN

What you need is a CASE Learn procedure. If you do not have a scan software with bidirectional cable, find someone with a Tech 2 or the above scan software and in 5 minutes your done. Other options are an "Auto Lab" shop with the proper equipment for about $35-50 or the dealership for about $75-100. The procedure realigns the Crank sensor with the PCM calbration. This usually happens when you replace the sensor or install a different PCM in your car.
