Telescopic column retrofit
I'm retrofitting a 2000 model column in my 99. Wiring is supposed to plug into the drivers seat control module, but mine says "Telescopic steering N/A" The dealership is no help, as they show only the one module. What am I missing here? Does anybody out there have a part # for what I need? I can by-pass the memory function, and wire it up via a new circuit, but would like to do it right.....?????

Jack, I had an 02 telescoping column installed in my 02 convertible. The column does gets its power from the the driver seat control module. My car did not have the memory option which is needed to power the column so the dealer used seat control module #10435193, he also used harness #12455470 to hook up the column. You will have to have the Body Control Module reprogramed to recognize the column or it will not work no matter what you do. If I remember correctly the BCM is changed from 001 to 002. I don't know if this info pertains to your 99. Hope this helps. Good luck on your install.

How did your telescopic install work out?
I just just picked up a power telo column from a 2001 and planning installing in my 1998 coupe. I have auto memory option for seats, mirrors, radio etc:
Any input Would be Greatly Appreciated...
