Need A/C idler pulley info
I have the ider pulley on the A/C system off on the car right now. I am ordering the part tomorrow and need to know if the front and back 'covers' come with it or are they separate? If so the dealer couldn't find the part numbers for them, any idea?

Idler pulley replacement.
Wish I had read this before you purchased your idler assembly. The stealership will not sell you just the idler wheel for the assembly but will sell you the whole assembly (about $86). What I did was order just the idler wheel, (not a tensioner, the one not on an assembly $22), remove the idler wheel from the a/c idler pulley and put the new wheel on (exactely the same). If you actually need the whole assembly (because the tensioner spring is weak) then you get the whole thing. They won't tell you this. Outside part suppliers don't carry much, NAPA charges more for just the wheels and usually don't stock 'em.(can you believe someone actually has higher prices than the stealership)
