Default What exhaust?

I want a system that is load and rumbles, but will not make my ears bleed with resonance. How bad is the 2.5" XR-1? Should I get Bassanni's? I want and will get TPIS later, but right now I want exhaust. please help me out.

I love the sound of my SuperSprint. They are German made.

Have you heard the PRT's? I have them and have been very happy. I also have the TPIS long tubes.

My vote goes for the PRT's
Lawdog2k fisrt off I have to say, your car is SMOKIN!
nice paint job! I love it!

secondly here's a link of my car starting up and revving with PRT's and headers. http://people.ne.mediaone.net/necro/bblee.mpeg

For what you're looking for (deep rumble) I'm not sure if you can get that without interior resonance. No one makes a system that allows the deepest frequencies to come out of the exhaust and not have them end up in the cabin. I think it has a lot more to do with the head design than anything else. You would get a much different sound with long tubes/ported heads/cam than you would with a stock motor.
JMHO
Good luck with your decision!

PRT's are a happy medium for me. Let me know if you want to listen to them.

I really like the PRT along with the TPIS combo. My friend Dic(k) just got a great deal from Xtreme Motorsportr,I believe he's liquidating all his heavy and over size crates and boxes I found out last night for sure hes moving to Tempe AZ with a large shop crew etc if you like the PRT as most do,( NO MUFFLERS )you may save 50-100 fron Xtreme ,YA BUDDY!!!!!!!!!
Either way shop it around you never know some one may still be cheaper even though hes cheap alreadyPRT'S are great Good Luck.Dave

The corsa indy's are definately for you....They are loud with NO resonance whatsoever in any power band, I have had them for over a year now and I LOVE them :D:D:D

I have the Borla XR1 and long tube headers. It sounds awesome, and I would not have anything else, but I have a 6 speed to get away from the resonance. The XR1 has a significant potential to make your ears bleed from resonance in an A4. While I love my XR1, based on your disclaimer about resonance, I would advise you not get the Borla XR1 unless you get a chance to ride in one first and experience the sound and resonance. As mentioned, the Corsa seems to be the least prone to cabin resonance.

Go with the Bassani's you will be satisfied with sound and very little resonance
