Just got a set of jet-hot LT-headers would like to know which x-pipe would be the best to go with, no cats and running SLP loudmouth I understand its going to be loud but its a weekend car Thanks
I can't say which "X" would work best w/ your setup. I don't know it there is one. I can tell you I installed a Bassini X last summer and I have no issues w/ it. I'm pleased. Good luck.....
I just put on a West Coast Corvettes X-pipe, and am glad I got that one (from a forum member). The construction is very well made. This particular x-pipe has a "chamber" in the middle. All the pipes go into this box, which is one big open chamber. So, with this type of x-pipe, the exhaust goes into one big chamber, then from that big chamber out into the two exit pipes.
The other x-pipe design, such as Corsa's, merely runs two pipes alongside each other and those pipes "touch" each other at one point. Their touching walls are cut open at this small point to form a brief junction, then they go their own separate ways again.
Do a search on the web and you'll see what I mean. I think the ones with the chamber, like the WCC pipe, probably do a better job (not that you'd notice the difference in performance), but more importantly, I think these types will last longer, or at least not be as susceptible to eventually coming apart at the small junction mentioned above on the other design.
Hope this helps.
