Default Engine cutting out for a second???

I have a wierd one happening that seems like a ground problem but I can't find it. When I get on it and it starts to near shift point the engine will cut for just a second as does the odometer lights. Not sure about the HUD. Seems like maybe the torque is moving something and breaking ground. Would that cause a problem like this? Anyone run into a problem like this? Thanks.

Car only has a little over 7500 miles and has never seen rain. I saw the dash lights cut out also for that brief moment, so I wouldn't think it would be a filter. I suspect some kind of ground issue, but wondering if anyone has seen a similar issue. I read through Bill's Electrical ground post above, but didn't see anything similar to this.

Not unless the rev limiter is really off. Seems to happen around 5000 to 5500 max. I have never red lined the car. Also, I don't think the rev limiter would affect the dash lights.
