What type of bushings are you using it for? Rubber suspension bushings don't use lube. For urithane I would use the clear/white lube that suspension companys sell for that. Urithane lube is actually tacky and very hard to wash off.
Should be alright for that. Ive also heard of wrapping your sway bar in teflon tape. I haven't done it but it sounded like it could work. Your factory bushings should have a grafite insert in the bushing that looks like black cloth to stop binding/squeeks. You might want to look into new bushings. They should be about $10 each.
Any synthetic grease will be safe for rubber component. I used some lithium grease front and back with my new rubber bushings. I know it should be fine but over time the paint wears off and rust develops and then they start to squeak.

Thanks for another informative post. Did you see that link to the Mobil 1 stuff I posted atop this thread? That stuff is a mixture of synthetic AND lithium. So, I guess it should be double fine?
There's a "teflon impregnated" grease called Super Lube. I've used it on sway bar bushings with good results. It's sold in small tubes, maybe 1.5-2 oz, and is available in many commercial hardware suply houses.
