Default Dart 225 head question????

Hey guys,
I have a set of dart 225 heads with 2.055/1.60 valves that i am wanting to install on my car. Its a stock bottom end 346 with a 224/224 .576/.576 on a 112lsa, full exhaust, ls6 intake and all bolt ons. I am wanting to have them sent out to be ported but not sure how big the intake runner should be opened up too? I have been told by a very good porter (not sayen names) that he would open it up too around a 240cc intake runner. What do you guys think of that or what size would you guys open it up too? I personally think it may be too big for my 346 but just wanted some input, i was thinkin of haven them opened up to around a 230cc intake runner. Any input is appreciated!!
thx rob

That ported runner volume sounds way too big for a 346. A 383 would be fine tho.

Even unported that's a pretty big runner for a 224 cam. A nice set of cleaned up only 215's would probably be better.

My $.02

I understand that, i purchased these head dirt cheap. But also if i was to purchase say a set of 243 cnc'd heads from a vendor, the runners would be opened up to 230+cc anyways unlike these which are a 225cc. The only real difference i gunna be the valve, and i know they have a 2.05 but thats really the only downside. I also thought about haven them hand finished. Any other thoughts.
thx rob

I'm running 225 dart heads that are hand finished and coated.
The intake flow is very good from factory. Search for thread started by me for flow numbers and dyno sheet i have a 220/226 cam and standard displacement motor

Below are the flow numbers we picked up quite a bit if the exhaust side.
As you can see from the dyno sheet we are at 404 rwhp
