Default First hand tire experience wanted

Has any one tried this one yet http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...50&rd=18&ar=35

I was going to mount this on my stock rims on my 00 coupe. Any one have any first hand experience with this. Now I know we are going to have plenty of people say well I haven't tried it but I love my tire xyz. I am really looking for some one who has tried it. Thanks

We have these on the wife's '04 Beetle turbo vert - it is not a Corvette but it is not slow - it's had a bit of work

Excellent tire - sticks well in corners, surprisingly decent in the wet. We have about 14,000 miles of fairly aggressive driving with no issues and no undue wear.

I've got them on my wagon wheels for track use . When I had them on for a week or so of daily driving I love them.

When the run craps are gone I'm putting these on for every day use.

DJ

PS I didn't notice the size just the brand tire. I went with stock size's

If you are asking about the size, no problem! I just had 295/35/18's mounted on my stock rims. They were easy to mount and look like they were made to go together. I looked on a website for this size tire and it said they fit 9-11" rims.

Only a W rated tire...

I prefer to stick with Y rated (not that I'll go beyond W speeds, but still).

The tire in question is Z rated-285/35 ZR 18. Where do you see a Y?

Yes I do have first hand knowledge of these tires, they are on my 2000 a4 dd. Just on the rear wheels. I still have the runcraps on the front, but as soon as they wear out, which should be soon, I'm putting these nittos on the front too. They are good tires. They do slide a little while making fast turns and gunning the accelerator at the same time. But i'm sure most tires have that same problem.

The tire in question is a W rated tire.

285/35ZR-18 97W Note the W.

Discount tire probably won't mount that tire on a Vette, since Vettes come with Y rated tires (they will put a higher rated tire on, but probably won't put on a lower speed rating). At least none of them around here in MN will mount a lower speed rated tire. You might have better luck elsewhere.
