Go to LS1howto.com and look at the head and cam swap for a C5.
This is a weekend job for the mechanical inclined. If you don't have the tools. i.e. high capacity torque wrench, breaker bar, C5 shop manual etc.... I would leave this up to a pro.
I have done this one myself, after a balancer failure, it is a lot of work.
You need a special puller like the one listed in the GM manual. I'd recommend getting a book.
You'll have to remove the rack and pinion and maybe the radiator. Retorquing the new balancer is a big job, plus the balancer doesn't just slide on. You may strip out the crank if try to use the old bolt to pull it on. I was lucky and got away with it.
