Looking for opinions on this cam choice. Comp Cams XER 273HR, 224/230, 581/591, 114 C/L.
I will be running with the following set up:
'99 6 speed, 3.42s, Blackwing, stock MAF and TB, ZO6 intake, ARE 'stage 2' 243 heads (2.05 int. 1.57 exh., CNC port, flows 311 int./227 exh. @ .600 lift). 1&3/4" LT headers, high flow cats, Corsa Touring.
I don't have a specific HP number in mind. This car will likely never see a drag strip (well maybe once or twice). Just looking for an overall street performer with good driveability and power up and down the RPM range.

That should be a solid set up to get you around 425+RWHP. You will definately need a tune, but it will be drivable w/out it. Enjoy it cause you will feel a HUGE seat of the pants difference.
