Gears???
I am looking to buy a 01 coupe with .390 gears in it what exactly will this do for me?? Why are the .390's seem to be more popular with the vettes. This question is very elementary for most of you,but I am trying to catch up. I always thought .373 was a good all around set up as far as fuel / power.

Gears
The 3:90s are popular because the 6th gear overdrive is really high. Even with the 3:90s you will have a low RPM at cruise. Down side is that 6th gear is not meant for really high speed sustained use.
