Default Nw Iridums Installed.

Well changed the plugs to the new Iridums and put the red Z06 wire set on.
Gene from Fred Bean fixed me up with them. Great price. Thanks Gene.

It went easier than I have read about.
Only problem I had, was I dropped one of the old plugs in the engine compartment.
Had a lot of fun fishing it out.

Then I started it up and forgot to hook up the brake booster hose,
Found out won't idle and makes a lot of noise.

Like my granddaughter says I was SCARED !!!

After I fixed that, runs real smooth.

Raining today so can't go for a run.

I guess I'll just wait.

I did the same ignition service to my car and it sure smoothed out the idle. At least I could tell! Some people wouldn't care, but I noted a great improvement in smoothness. Did you get the NGk iridiums or the GM iridium plugs?

Got the GM plugs.

The old ones sure came out easy.
The number on them is 41-952.
I'm the second owner.

99 coupe with 24,000 miles.

Is that an original plug ??

If i understand you correctly yes, I believe the LS1 came with iridium plugs from the factory. Which is what I put in my car too.

How much did you get the plugs for?

I did the Bosch +4 Plats.

I noticed idle is smoother and at a light the vibration is less.

I got a set at AutoZone two weeks ago for $6.99 each ($55.92 for eight). I was suprised at the price. Its their regular price and only $1.00 per plug more than Fitchner's website price.

For some reason I think it was $5.52 each from Gene at Fed Bean.

I also got the Z06 wire set was around another $40.00.

The wire set is cool red wires.

That's probably the best deal right there, since you can get them locally, and save on shipping. The $49.15 from GM Parts Direct includes the $9.xx shipping. Not bad, if you don't have to have them right away, I guess...
