I changed both low and high beam bulbs w/PIAA extreme white bulbs. However Ipicked up my Z06 02- and never checked the headlamp projection at night (only had car 5 days).
I finally had the chance to check them tonight,it seems as if the hi-beam projection shoots more to the left and right of the car as opposed to the center, I dont know if this is how they are supposed to project because i never checked the stock bulbs and there projection (big mistake).
It doesn't seem as if this is correct IS IT?
While installing the white bulbs they where a bit difficult to re-insert ,perhaps they are in wrong,.
Your opinion will count
Thank You

Re: Question on C5 headlight bulb replacment (z-u-later)
Sounds like you don't have the sockets seated properly. Before trying to realign, I'd pull the headlight shroud, pull the sockets and reinstall. They can be installed improperly and will be out of alignment. Simply changing bulbs will not change the alignment. As I recall, low beams give you a wider beam and highs are pretty much straight ahead.
If you're having trouble, Shawn at LAPD can probably give you the right answer. He knows a lot about lighting for the C5. Good Luck.
Re: Question on C5 headlight bulb replacment (z-u-later)
Hi: Before I went to E-Codes I had the PIAA'S and they were very difficult to twist into the sockets correctly. I'm told this is because the lugs on the bulbs are a bit thicker than stock. If you don't have 'em seated correctly then the center of focus and hence the alignment will be off. Check this first before re-aligning the lights. Yes you could also talk to Shawn at the LAPD too as he does sell a lot of after market lighting stuff. Good Luck! :D :D :D
