Default Cooling and Vacume Problem

Within the last month I purchased a 97 C5 w/6sp. For the last couple of weeks I have been fixing naging problems.
1st was the oil sending unit. When I put everything back together it sounds like I have a vacume leak but cannot trace the problem. I would have thought the display would have shown a code by now. The motor seams to run fine. While letting the car idle in the driveway today while chasing the vacume leak the water temp got to 221 degrees. I turned the car off and turned the ignition back on to see if the fans were running and nothing. The fuses are fine but did not have a way to check the mini relays.
1. When I removed the intake, I removed the trottle body off for cleaning. I also removed the injectors to clean up the intake. All new gaskets were used to put things back together. The sound I am hearing sounds like a clogged paint gun and is coming from the rear passenger side of the motor. The sound is not a steady pissing like a vacume but is intermitant. Could it be the o-rings for the injectors. I re-used the old ones.
2. What do I need to check and fix to get the fans operating.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Warm weather is right around the corner here in NC.

see if the hvac system is working right.sounds like ither the "t" in the back of the intake is cracked or the line for the hvac is either cut/pinched or not all the way on.note;you will hear some noise due to the plastic intake.
the temp sounds right.the fans shouldn't come on until 220-225.if you want to check the fan operation turn on the a/c,they should start on speed #1 then click over to #2

I just took the intake off. The 1st time it took me about 2 1/2 hrs. This time it took me about 45 minutes of cussing. The small line off the "T" at the back of the intake came off. The line is just long enough to connect when the intake is in place (no room for fingers). Tomorrow I will splice onto the line to give me a little extra to work with. I appreciate the help, I have been scratching my head for the last week.
