"oil temp low"
This message, when I went to read oil temp this morning would not update from "oil temp low". I started the car and oil temp was 14 F and ten seconds later it changed to "low". I stopped the car after ten minutes or so to let it warm up and still after re-starting it said "low". I"m thinking that I need a new oil temperature sensor. Have any of you needed to replace the oil TEMP sensor?

Nah, happens every morning to me. When it is below freezing here, the low oil warning will stay for for a bit.

Well I guess my car had me fooled! I just went out and started it again after it warmed up outside a bit and the oil temp is reading now! Phewh. I really thought I was going to need a new sensor.... a broken resistor-temp sensor would read infinite ohms and therefore the computer would read "low" ... That's what I was thinking.

Same exact thing happened to me yesterday when I took the vette for a ride around the neighborhood. Figured the temp sensor was shot, but re-started the car and it was working fine. Go figure??
