Default Is this possible?

Ok, Dont know if this was ever asked, but is it possible to upgrade to the Gen 2 Tires sensors? I have a 2000 and the price for the Gen1's are sometimes 3X the price! I can get the gen2's for around 40 bucks. the Gen 1's will run over 100.

I know you will have ot replace some other parts prob a Brain or two but is it even worth it?

Thanks.

Not unless you want to change all the other wiring, like the Sensor box, BCM and the harnesses. I know it sucks but the new ones should last you 5-8 more years. It is mostly miles that kill the battery in the TPS not time. My car is approaching 7 years old and they are fine. (knock on wood) Now that I just said that, I'll take a set.

Fred Beans has the Gen I sensors for $75. My local dealer matched his price, so when you're ready, maybe your local dealer may do the same.
