I am beginning to think it is not going to be possible to keep all oil from getting into the intake. Unless you eliminate the vacume draw at the valve covers and just vent them with breathers. I did this on a Grand National I used to have, and under WOT, the oil would come out of the dipstick tube. I dont want to have to go that route. I put the moisture catch can back in and in the reverse position like I saw someone suggest in an earlier thread. Then the line goes to my AMW, and then that small glass fuel filter with some breather element in it.
I know this is an old and beaten to death topic, but I hate to think that after doing a top end cleaning, oil is going right back into my intake, but a much slower rate. Maybe top end cleaning will have to be a twice a year chore! My Vett is my only ride and it gets alot of use!
My car is pretty much a dedicated track car and even with the AMW can it still pumps a lot of oil into the intake. I've been told by an expert that the fresh air line from the TB to the valve cover also puts oil in the intake at WOT. Seems like the only way to really eliminate the problem is to cap off the TB and manifold and vent those lines. I'm going to try venting my AMW and substituting a filler breather for the fresh air line and see what happens.
If I didn't have the AMW already I'd try one of these. http://www.hrpworld.com/index.cfm?fo..._id=272,51,363
I dont know if that can would pull any oil from the system, being it has the breather on it. I think it would just suck filtered air into the intake. Although I would love to cap both the TB & intake and just vent the valve covers. I just dont know if the lack of suction in the valve covers would'nt cause an oil pressure problem like it did on my Buick.

I dont have any pics unfortunately. It is pretty hooked up though for efficiency. I drove it today pretty hard at times and a little bit of oil got into the 3rd filter, the one with the breather element. I am not going to worry about it, F--k it. I will just have to keep an eye on them and keep them clean. Thanks for the info on that glass filter housing, it was just what I was looking for!

I run two catch cans, one in-line with the PCV valve and one in-line with the fresh air line from the throttelbody to the valve cover.
I get almost no oil in the catch can in-line with the PCV valve ...... and a lot in the catch can in-line with the fresh air line so I would say just using one catch can is not enough.
99% of the oil is caught in the 2 clear tubes. I also removed the tiny stone filters in the tubes. They would have clogged up in no time. I have caught oil and condensation in both. The filter was yellow and has sinced turned a little brown.
The 2 tubes can be found at Home Depot and the fuel filter is a NAPA 3003 if I remember correctly.

I'm definately going to put one of these BEFORE my glass/paper filter in the valve cover to TB or AirBridge line. Just got to figure where to hang it.
