I'm thinking about installing Led Altezza tail lights, most say plug and play no wires to cut, just remove stock taillights and install Leds. Has anyone had any problems going to Led taillights? Do you have to change flasher under the dash? Thanks, HEB
i got the red ones with the halo from ebay. they were plug and play just like it said. they already have a resistor in them so the blinker wont be fast. they are extremely bright too.
Help! I ordered a set and installed them about an hour ago. They look and fit great but aparently didn't come with the resistor and blink double-time. Supplier has not yet responded to email. The LED draw so little current that the blinker relay thinks a light is burned out. Does anyone have any suggestions? Like a new "no-double-time" relay, perhaps? and, Where is the blinker relay on an '04, anyway? I hear it, but can't find it.
Doh!
With engine running, voltage is up and lights flash normally!

I had this problem on my '04 also...that is until I started the car.
Doh! I sure didn't think that starting the car would make that much difference. Boy, did I guess wrong. The instruction might have read " ...will blink fast when car is not running." instead of "... will blink fast on low battery."
Thanks for the help!

ps: since my cameraphone takes lousy pics, go to ebay and search on "Halo LED tail lights" about fourteen links will come up of various auction sites. Drill down on any of those pages and there are pics of the kit and with them installed in a C5. Mine came from Optionracing (not intended as a plug).

Did you try them while the car was running. If not, they will do that.
Here are pictures of the Chrome Altezza tail lights. I also replaced the 3rd brake light with the same. I love them. I have had them on for almost a year now. Pictures do not do them justice. I get compliments at all the Corvette functions I go to:
The lights come with the resistors built in. All you do is take out the old bulb, plug in the harness and screw the new lights in. Easy 15 minute job!
One Warning::: If you use your hazzard lights, your dash will come up with traction control issues and active handling issues. It is something to do with LED lights and the computer. DON'T FREAK OUT!! To clear, just shut the car off and restart. It is just a glitch between the computer and the new tail lights. Happens with all LED lights...not just the Altezza lights.

these are great. the chromes above w/the white look terrible in my opinion. can somebody say ricer?
My Z is silver, not white. I agree that in pictures they do not look that great, but in person I have yet to hear anyone say anything negative. In fact, if I had a dime for everytime someone asked me where they could buy them from, I would have been able to purchase 2 sets.
