Motor Guru's, I need some info/help!
I have alittle problem and would love alittle insite from some people who have torn apart there motors.
I have a 99 LS1 that i pulled the intake off of to replace the oil pressure sensor. No problem there but i snapped an intake bolt. No big deal there, used an easy-out....the bolt started to come out and snap, alittle piece of the easy out snapped off. No big deal, used a torch, heated it up and it fell in with the rest of the snapped off bolt.
Here is the problem, where did the pieced fall into?
I am hopeing that i can remove the lifter valley cover (is that what the plate is on top of the motor under the intake?) Do those bolt holes for the intake go into that? also, do i need any special tools to remove those two sensors that go into that cover (i am assuming they are knock sensors).
If someone has a pic or any advice, that would be great, i dont want and of those metal chunks and shavings in the motor.
