It doesn't look that way to me, and I've removed them many times. Try going to GMPARTSDIRECT.COM and looking it up. I just checked, and although there is a right and left description, for the front anyway, when I add either to my cart, the part number comes up the same. The site sucks, though, so I'm not entirely sure.

I called a dealer in my area and they said they are different but I think the only reason he said that is because there are 2 part numbers, one for each side. I'm wondering if the computer sees each shock as left or right either. So if it sees two left shocks it will start throwing error codes.
