Default check engine knock sensor????????

I got a check engine light, and I checked the code and it was the knock sensor. Now my question is can this be tuned out or do I have to replace the knock sensor itself. If so where is it where can I buy one, and how do I change it?

You can actually have a tuner turn off the knock sensor. Its up to you to do so, but try clearing the codes out and see if it comes back. If it does might be time to get it changed out.

Do I need the knock sensor? I cleared it many times but it keeps coming back.

yes you need knock sensors... they protect your engine from bad gas low octane , carbon build up... knocking can cut engine life in half...
Many people ruin their knock sensors buy cleaning their engine... steam cleaning... power washing etc... car wash...
I have posted this many times...
if you turn off the knock sensors you're asking for trouble..If you run 91 octane gas and put the car under load on a hot day in the summer, you can do some serious damage with out the timing being retarded to compensate for pre ignition./
