Just recently purchased a 2000 with 30,000 miles. When I am driving between 30 and 50 and start going down a hill I can feel a noticable surging with the car. This happens with the cruise control on or off. Everything elses seems to be fine. The car has a automatic. Looking for possible ideas of what could be going on or is this normal?
I only feel this sensation going down a hill. The car runs fine on flat surfaces and no problems when you go up hills or accelerate.
The speed stays constant but it seems like it is a miss fire or lack of fuel not sure. Maybe I just answered my own question. Maybe a bad plug or a bad injector?
i'm assuming the car is stock.if you go out and drive on a flat road at a constant speed,do you feel the car trailer hitch[surge]? check the car for faults,if anything i would think air/vacuum leak somewhere.
Doesn't do it on a level surface seems fine. I will check for leaks that is a good idea.
How would I go about checking for codes? This is the first C5 I have had. What a wonderful car
key on engine off.push reset[will clear door ajar and show odometer]
hold options and tap fuel 4 times
car will go into diagnostics with the pcm being the 1st control module checked, copy all codes if any, then it will check the next module and so on and so forth.
they are all past communication/battery faults[h=history]
the battery was either changed or disconnected at one time.
check for air/vacuum leaks[loose clamps]after the maf
