i have a 03 ZO6.

Can i do the fluid change on the trans and diff with the car on jack stands?

How difficult is it to get to the fill/drain plugs? if any one can post pics please do.

What fluids do you guys recomend or just stay with the oem fluids. i daily drive and roadrace the car a bit.

Change is easy to do, just need to get it up high enough so you can get under it. Make sure the car is level, so when you refill, the fluid level will be correct. Drain on trans takes a 3/8 th drive ratchet to remove, rear drain is a 10mm allen wrench. I went with Royal Purple products, and a bottle of GM posi additive for the diff.. Tranny seemed to shift smoother after a few miles with the RP lube.

ramps will work.
regarding oil for the tranny and diff.
you can't go wrong with Mobil 1.
Others swear by Royal Purple or Amsoil.
Pick a brand you trust. Put the GM or aftermarket posifluid in the diff.

Many will tell you that with RP and AMsoil you don't need it. Others will tell you they didn't and heard noise... so added it after the fact and the noise went away ( you pick... who is right???) Put the aftermarket fluid in first so you get the dosage correct.

Helpful hit is use some clear tubing to pump it in with. Easy job.
