Parking Brake Problem???
I have a 98 roadster, 6 speed. Sometimes the parking brake does not grab when I pull it up (feels like it's not pulling the cable) and the break does not hold. About 50% of the time it works fine. Am I doing something stupid?? (ie is there a sequence that I'm missing that does not allow the parking brake to engage??). Thanks....

Thanks for all the info..... My parking brake holds great when I get tension on the cable. The ebrake handle goes up fine when I grab it but sometimes it doesn't feel like it pulls the cable and then it doesn't hold at all.
Sounds like the PAWL is not grabbing any teeth when I have my problem. Sticky PAWL????? Do any of you agree??????
