Power window problem
I need any simple advice on my passenger window before I take it to the dealership for warranty repair. I have a 2004 CE coupe A4 with about 20K miles.
My passenger window quit working today. Both the passenger side and driver's side window switches won't activate the window. Good thing its stuck in the "UP" position!
I searched the Tech threads and found several similar problems. I've tried the "door slamming while holding the switch down" and "wiggle the accordian in door hinge area" methods to no avail.
I also pulled and checked the Right Door Control Module and Power Feed Door Right fuses and they both looked good.
Am I missing any simple fixes? I would appreciate any advice before I throw in the towel and take it to the dealership to invoke my warranty!

I had the same problem a couple weeks ago. I checked all the fuses and everything else I could think of to no avail. Finally, I checked the tech tips and did some searches. Luckily for me, the "door slamming while holding button down" worked for me. I slammed the door so hard my finger slipped of the switch. Other fixes I found in searches was pull the door cover off and tap the window motor with a hammer (I wasn't willing to go that far but I'm very conservative, several others did it with good results). Good luck, I know how frustrating this is.

i had a problem with my drivers side window about three weeks ago would not go up or down we took off the door panel today and tapped my regulator with a hammer a couple of times and it started to working a friend has done thin os twenty vettes and told us to try so we did and it worked whew hope it keeps working.
