True story. (And he ought to know) . I have the 1 3/4" with Kooks X-pipe. Plug-N-Play as they say. The only PITA part was the jacking the engine over on the install. Been solid ever since.
BTW, I like the factory steel gaskets.

No. There are two different versions and the one I (and most people I suspect) go with, are the street versions, that come with high flow cats. Emissions legal and still a bolt on deal.
BTW, I removed my Corsa X-pipe and factory exhaust manifolds when I did my install. Still have the Corsa cat-back system (Touring w/Pro tips)in place though. HTH

I haven't checked the Kooks info lately, but last time I did, in order for you to keep your factory cats, you would have to do some cutting and welding, etc. The easiest way to go would be to just use the complete Kooks mid-section (their high flow cats plus x-pipe). Everything just bolts right up using clamps, etc.
Remember: the Kooks collector ends have what I like to call a "ball and socket" type joint instead of the old fashioned flat flanges (can you say prone to leakage?) and the pipe section immediately behind these header collector connections (mid-section pipe assy) obviously has to have the same design in order to mate up. BTW, they are not the only folks out there using this design collector connection as it has proven very reliable, leak resistant and become popular.
Remove the Corsa X-pipe, keep the clamps, etc and sell it. It is a good rugged x-pipe and you should not have too much trouble selling it as some folks just want the kind of set-up you had, before going with the Kooks headers, etc.
Bottom line? Kooks from engine to over axle pipes (including their high flow cats).
