Default Replacing Computer 1999 to a 2002

I was just wondering If you can replace the computer in a 99 car with a 2002 Z06 computer? I all ready have the Z06 MAF so then I would have the Z06 Maf curve. and dont need the Wheel air sensor option with Z06 rims and tires. Or should I get a Diablo preditor and adjust everything from it? Thanks for any input.

If you plan on doing any mods. in the future, and are willing to buy a Diablo, I would spend the extra cash and get some tuning software like HPTuners. I started off with simple bolt-ons and bought a hypertech, only to sell it and go with HPTuners. You'll be much happier with the tuning software, and then you can make all the changes you want.

Also the PCMs are the same for both. Just different OS and calibrations.

I purchased EFILive Personal, then upgraded to the Commercial version. Then I flashed the OS from a 2002 Z06 into my 99 FRC PCM, copied over my calibrations and didn't have to buy a new computer but have a 2002 PCM now. As long as you have a tuning package that can reflash the operating system and the operating system you choose will fit in 512k of PCM memory you can put whatever you want in there, assuming it's from another vette.
