I have a LS6 with AFR 205's, Small cam, Fast 78mm, with TB, TPIS LT, X-Pipe, Corsca Indy, Major mods. and want to know what it would cost to add forged internals? Average cost for a shop to do it compared to how much you could do it for in the garage.
Thanks in advance.
do it yourself for $1800-$2000 in good parts. Forged rods, pistons, rings, gaskets, studs/bolts, machine work etc...Buying a forged short block, check out this list

CHRIS, I nominate you BROTHER Of the master of the do it yourselfers. God Bless you dude, I wish i had that no how and confidence to do all my own modding!!
Im going for a 150-200 wet shot, and just rather be on the safe side. I have done it before on a stock bottom, needless to say didn't last long. Thanks
