I know from experience that an '02 h-pipe with pup cats will not fit on my '98, but what about a 2001? My cats are on the way out. I'd rather not cut the cats out and re-weld.
Will an 01 fit a 98?

Your exhaust mainifolds will be too long. If you get the 2001 H pipe you'll need the manifolds as well which would require a new passenger side air tube and dip stick solution. - C.
Mr C.,
I am talking about the h-section only the part that bolts to the factory manifold just before the cats. Will a '01 h-pipe mate up with '98 manifolds? That would be a better way for me to put it.
That's what I was trying to say. The 97 - mid 00 manifolds are longer than the 01 up. Conversely, the H pipes of the 01 up are longer than the earlier versions. So, if you have long manifolds and a long H pipe...crash. Won't work. That's why I suggested changing both. But If you were going to do that, you might as well get a set of long tubes and cut your pups out. - C.
Just thought of something. If you're saying you want to keep your 98 manifolds and bolt on an H pipe with no pups, just the regular cats, that's what my 99 has. It would bolt right up.
