P1431 Fuel Level Sensor 2 Circuit Performance -C, What do I do now?
I'm glad my car is under warranty. I was crusing at 60 MPH on the highway and my fuel gauge dropped to zero and the Check Gauge light illuminated. The code is P1431. Do they just replace the fuel sending unit? Thanks for all your help. :D

Hi there,
There is a bulletin for this concern, and it is published in SI2000, you should have no problem in repairing this issue. You right side fuel tank sending unit will have to be diagnosed, and if bad, replaced.
Best to you, c4c5

Had the same thing happend to my 01 Coupe. The dealer is going to fix things on Tuesday. My dealer is going to replace both sending units and the module. I'll post my results next week. BTW, when you take yours in for repairs, make sure the tank is as empty as possible.

So far so good...problem seems to be fixed. I am travelling to West Yellowstone this weekend for the "Wild West Vette Fest"; we'll see if it truly is fixed.
BTW here is what my dealer replaced

1 88899034 Sensor Kit
