Check Engine After Installing Donaldson Blackwing!!!!
I installed A Donaldson Blackwing on my stock 98 A4 with 3.15s two days ago. I now am getting an engine light, owners manual says the light means there is an issue with the computer. The car sometimes does not down shift when I floor it at 40 mph and feels like it is not as responsive. Anyone else have this problem????
Re: Check Engine After Installing Donaldson Blackwing!!!! (team-zr1)
You might have an airleak somewhere by the MAF, check for something loose or not being fitted correctly.
John
Installed the same unit on my similiarily equipped "99" and did/have not experienced any problems like you described!!
I think John probably diagnosed your problem pretty accurately though... .... :yesnod: Hopefully he's right and the problem will go away after you "re-tighten" everything. :D :D
Re: Check Engine After Installing Donaldson Blackwing!!!! (mchaney)

Re: Check Engine After Installing Donaldson Blackwing!!!! (MC98)
Thanks fellows, some of the clamps were not as tight as they should have been so I tightened all of them. Should I drive the car and see if the check engine light goes out or should I disconnect the battery to clear the code and then see if I get another check engine?
